Trade Ally Manager II – HVAC Specialist

A Trade Ally Manager II – HVAC Specialist enrolls and trains contractors to install energy efficient measures for customers throughout Northern Illinois. Extensive knowledge of the energy field is expected and certification as an HVAC professional or other industry certification is required. The individual for this position should be comfortable communicating with contractors and customers alike, and logging customer and contractor data in a database (Salesforce, for example). This position is part of a team and may require employee supervision to achieve programmatic results.

Responsibilities: 

• Provides technical support for HVAC to a team that has experts in refrigeration and electrity
• “Sell” contractors (program allies) on the benefits of energy efficiency program participation
• Enroll and train program allies in program delivery
• Conduct quality assurance site visits to ensure proper delivery of the program
• Generate and assign customer leads
• Relay customer satisfaction or quality assurance issues
• Track program ally training, project, and quality
• Track program ally progress and success rate
• Oversee customer satisfaction feedback and reporting
• Interface with product vendors to track equipment specifications and delivery
• Organize files and reports for immediate access

Qualifications:

• Sales experience
• Advanced computer literacy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High level of organization
• Ability to detect and solve project issues
• High level of professionalism
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with vendors

Education and Experience:

• College degree or high school diploma with experience in this field
• 7+ years’ experience working in energy efficiency program, with specific expertise in HVAC

Working Conditions

• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
• Drive a vehicle for extended periods
• Availability to travel will be required and is essential to the success of this position
